Based on the true story of Michael Alig (Macaulay Culkin), a club kid and party promoter at New York City’s infamous Limelight Club in the early 1990s. At the height of his prominence, Michael had his own record label, magazine, and an ever-increasing drug habit. As his addictions grew worse, his lifestyle and party themes became darker and more twisted, ultimately reaching a tragic crescendo when he murdered his drug dealer by injecting him with Drano and throwing him in the East River. The power he wielded on the club scene made Alig feel so untouchable that he proudly boasted of the murder. Both the press and police thought it was a publicity stunt … until the body washed ashore. Based on the book by James St. James.
"A real-life horror show of beautiful people, which is visually striking and disturbing all at once."
